Meeting buffers as a rep/individual setting
A
Alison Lueker
Meeting buffers are set globally, applying the same values to all users. Reps with different schedules and working styles have no way to configure buffers that reflect their individual needs.
Each user should be able to set their own meeting buffer times independently, rather than being subject to a single global buffer setting applied across the entire team.
A global buffer that works for one rep may be too long or too short for another. Individual buffer control respects different working styles and prevents one team member's preferences from impacting everyone else's availability.

Set different buffer durations before and after meetings per user
Taylor Jennings
Meeting buffers apply a single, uniform duration that cannot be differentiated between pre-meeting and post-meeting time. Users who need different amounts of preparation vs. wrap-up time have no way to configure this.
Users and admins should be able to set separate buffer durations before and after meetings, configurable at the user level, rather than applying a single buffer value to both sides.
A 15-minute prep buffer and a 30-minute debrief buffer serve different purposes. Treating them as one value forces users to over-block or under-protect time on one side.

Edit Meeting Buffer Settings including Name, behavior for users

Allow editing of Meeting Buffers for Meeting Types. It would be nice to allow more editing for Meeting Buffers such as being able to name the meeting buffers or adding a description and even allowing for individual settings for meeting buffer behavior since some reps might not want them

Similar to how we let reps set their own working hours, can we allow for meeting buffers on personal settings. We would still set buffers on meeting types, but this would allow them to override to the amount of time, if any, that works best for each rep.

Give the meeting booker ability to toggle buffer on/off when scheduling a meeting. SDRs have different preferences with buffers, but still want them to use shared templates vs their own.

Allowing individual users to determine the length of meeting buffer they need, if any at all, on their personal settings in tandem with their working hours. This would be helpful for admins to manage the requests from sales reps facing LA/NYC traffic versus Omaha traffic and not be the bottleneck by putting the onus on them to dictate their buffer time needs.
