In ChiliCal's Outlook add-in, contact search is only available after opening a new email or compose window. Reps who want to book a meeting proactively, by clicking into an open calendar block and searching for a contact, can't do it. The add-in is grayed out in that context.
The ask is to enable contact search directly from the calendar view, so reps can click an open time slot, search for a contact by name or email, and book a meeting without any email compose step.
Search should pull from both Salesforce and Outlook contacts. Salesforce covers external prospects and customers, Outlook covers internal colleagues. If both isn't feasible, Salesforce is the higher-priority source since most bookings are customer-facing.
The goal is a 10-second booking experience from the calendar, matching what reps are used to in native Outlook.
