Group Links Default Host
When working with group links, we don't really care which person in the group takes the meeting; we just want to be sure that at least one employee is on the meeting. However, this makes working with Zoom links hard. The one person who is set as the host in the group link will have their Zoom link account tied to the meeting, even though they may not the be the one on the meeting.
It would be valuable to be able to have a default host (so if that host is in the meeting, then use their Zoom link in the meeting), but also set up the group link to use the Zoom account of an employee who will be in the meeting, in the event the host is not free to join.
For security reasons, we have a setting in our Zoom account that requires all external participants to first join in the waiting room and then be granted access by the meeting host. If the meeting host is not on the call but their Zoom link is being used no one will be able to join the call
